Parkinson’s Disease

Peter Dunlap-Shohl is a life-long Alaskan who was editorial cartoonist for the Anchorage Daily News for over a quarter century.

Peter lives in Anchorage, where he has survived North Americaa’s largest earthquake, second-largest oil spill and sundry moose charges. Peter is married and has one son. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in early 2002, and leads the Anchore Parkinson’s Diease Support Group.

Throughout his journey with Parkinson’s Disease Peter has maintained a personal and humorous blog, Off and On: The Alaskan Parkinson’s Rag. Recently he has begun crafting a graphic novel, Mixed Cursing, dedicated to his experience.  Each month Peter shares a segment of his new work with us.  We invite you to follow along.
